Taken over in 2014, the UK plant located in Leeds mainly produces and sells water based dispersions of calcium and zinc metallic stearates, which find application in the rubber and paper industries.
FACI eChem specializes in the production of high performing chemical products able to optimize and/or solve process issues, as well as to enhance the properties of technical products in industries such as plastic, surface coatings, synthetic rubber and pre-shaped concrete, through key technologies including dispersions of metallic soaps, esters, surfactants and anti-foaming agents. Besides its core business, i.e. water based dispersions, the plant also boasts a large production of fatty acid esters, mainly used as “process aids” or lubricants in the production and processing of plastic.

FACI Group
In the years following its inception, FACI Group gained an excellent reputation in the oleochemicals industry, first through international trade, and then taking over new plants in Europe, America and Asia. Such expansion strategy resulted in creating FACI Group, which presently consists of seven production plants located in three continents. FACI Group is the largest producer of nontoxic metallic stereate, as well as one of the global leading producers of additives for plastics such as lubricants, co-stabilizers, acid decontaminants and release agents.
